This sleek diary was commissioned as a Christmas gift for Bea, who runs her own personal training business; Beatrained.

Meant to be both a sentimental gift and a business aid; the diary was carefully designed to tailor to Bea’s specific needs as a hard working professional whilst simultaneously celebrating her individuality. The design is inspired by the Beatrained brand. And of course, heavily features the brand’s yellow and dark greys. Some notable features include:

• The hour slots vary between one day and the next. Covering only her self-established working hours.

• Saturdays and Sundays provide a space for jotting some notes or journaling any thoughts.

• Months are visually set apart with a branded divider page. These pages include a quote with a positive or motivational sentiment.

• As Bea is Hungarian, popular sayings in her mother tongue are also found throughout the pages.

• Similarly, the diary includes the observances and public holidays of both Malta and Hungary.

The diary also highlights her birthday, and a beautiful addition to this project were two custom illustrations of elements Bea loves from nature. The stylistic choice of lines and swirling patterns achieved a cohesion I wanted to create between the existing brand pattern and the illustrations.
